‘Rule of Six’ from 14th September
A revised Risk Assessment has been carried out with regard to the new ‘Rule of Six’ Government guidelines. The tables throughout the club have been numbered and we have allocated a set number of people at each table depending on the size. This will be clearly marked on each table. Social distancing to be maintained. No more than six at any one table. Tables and chairs must not be moved from their original position. If the lounge is full then overflow seating is available in the hall. Everyone has to remain seated whilst indoors. Please continue to follow the one way systems already in place, and sanitize your hands frequently.
It is now a lawful requirement to record everyone who attends. The sign in books at the entrances have been replaced with signing in slips on each table. Please complete fully and hand in when you leave.
Gateshead Council have stated they will be monitoring premises more frequently and won’t hesitate to act if they see any breaches. If the measures outlined above are maintained by staff and visitors we can still have a good social life in our club while providing a safe environment for us all. Please support the officials, bar steward and staff in helping us get through this.
Thank you. General Committee.
