Gateshead RFC Training Update

Please see below a message from our Chairperson of Rugby, Paul Cooper.

Matt, Dave and myself have started to discuss how we will start training at GRFC once we have been given the green light by the Government and RFU.  We would like to start on Tuesday the 30th of June but this will depend on the Government allowing this.  We will perform a risk assessment and produce a tool box talk for all players prior to starting.  We hope the training will be at the Dryden centre and players will need to come changed and leave for home after the session. There will be no use of the club changing rooms.  Initially we believe no balls or contact shields will be allowed to be used, thus we will do our utmost to make the training interesting and enjoyable within the limitations laid down by the RFU.

We hope you all continue with the hard work that we have seen on the GRFC what’s app group.  Once we have any clarity we will post immediately on the relevant forums.

Thanks

Paul Cooper Chairperson of Rugby
