Gateshead Beer & Music Festival – Postponed to August Bank Holiday Weekend
April 30 @ 12:00 - May 2 @ 22:30
The first Gateshead Beer & Music Festival was held in 2010 with the aim of creating a great local community event. Since then, the festival has grown and is loved both locally and nationally, whilst maintaining its community beliefs. In 2016 we were delighted to be named as a Finalist in the Tyne & Wear Lifestyle awards – Best Live Experience.
The festival organisers strive to improve the festival year on year and this year there are no exceptions with the introduction of the Retro Bar, alongside a Craft Can Bar, Cider bar, as well as premium lagers and a new food area.
This year’s festival incorporates the SIBA North-East Regional competition, featuring beers from as far afield as Berwick-upon-Tweed and Sheffield. As always there will have a great selection of Ciders that are sourced countrywide. In addition to the popular Cava bar, we will see the return of our Gin filled Jam Jar Bar and Prosecco cocktails.
Three Days of Fantastic Music!
We have a varied music programme over the 3 days of the festival! We always ensure the the bill is an eclectic mix covering all genres of music to suit all tastes, ranging from, Soul, Rock, Indie, Ska, Glam-Rock, Folk, Irish, Tributes, Traditional Northumbrian, Rockabilly to Male voice choirs. This years line-up includes:-
Fri 30 April – Smoove & Turrell
Sat 1 May – We are Champion
