Donations to Ukraine
Some members have been asking if, as a club, we are doing anything for the situation in Ukraine. This was discussed at General Committee tonight and we thought that as many local workplaces and other organisations have collection points already many members will have already donated. Some aid organisations are also saying they have enough food etc. and monetary donations may now be more useful. To that end we’ve decided to promote a link to Gateshead Council for goods and equipment and the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) for monetary donations. We feel this will be the best way for any donations to be distributed to the people who need it most.
