CHOSEN CHARITY ON SUNDAY 1 MAY AT BEER FESTIVAL
A message from Chair Paddy Douglas…
As you all know we have a different charity on each day of the Beer Festival. On the Sunday it is Jezz Thomas’s charity ImmunodeficiencyUK. This is the charity both the club and Jezz’s family have already raised a considerable sum for. Jezz’s dad Steve wanted to support the local RVI Great North Hospital Children’s Hospital Trust as Jezz had many treatments at the RVI but they won’t have anything to do with it as it is alcohol based. So we’ve gone back to ImmunodificiencyUK and they are happy to be named. Unfortunately the people that run it aren’t able to be in crowds so it is down to the family and we are looking for some volunteers from the club to take the collection buckets round to get some cash in.
We also thought running a tombola stall would help and so we are looking for donations. Anything from toiletries, cans, bottles and anything that is non-perishable would be greatly accepted.
Please bring to the club and leave behind the bar and we will get it all together for the big day.
Once again many thanks for your kindness and generosity.
